Vows spoken by Velma Cripps and Paul HartogPaul Hartog and Velma Cripps were united in marriage at 8 p.m. Saturday, June 23 in the First Baptist Chureh of Gentry, Arkansas. The Reverend Burton Mi ley led in the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Cripps, Gentry, Arkansas. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. John Jacobs, Orange City.The bride wore a floor-length white gown of silk organza over peau de soie. The gown was styled with lace and ribbon tri m med empire bodice and A-line skirt which flowed into an isle wide train. The long sheer sleeves were caught into ribbon trimmed french cuffs. The elbow length veil was fashioned of silk illusion caught into a head piece decorated with rosettes and seed pearls. She carried a cascade bouquet of pink gladiolus and roses.Miss Ann Harris, Wichita, Kansas and Miss Brenda Kaufman, Tulsa attended the bride. They wore floor length empiredresses of pink seersucker knit coupled with a bolero of white and pink organdy. They wore white wide brimmed hats banded in pink and carried bouquets of pink glamelias.Rev. Johnny Hartog, Lewis-town, Montana served his brother as best man, and Bruce Korver, Tulsa, nephew of the groom, was the groomsman,Gary Cripps and Danny Korver, nephews of the bride and groom, seated guests. Nephews of the bride, Eldon Coye, Randy and Vester Cripps lit the candles.Mrs. Bill Korver, sister of the groom, and Mrs. Leo Kaufman accompanied Bill Korver, brother-in-law of the groom as he sang “The Lord’s Prayer,” and a Wedding Benediction,Assisting at the reception were Mrs, Ervin, Greg and Lemual Cripps, sister-in-law of the bride, Miss Diane Cripps, Mrs. Gerge Winnen-gham nieces of the bride and Mrs, David Martin, Omaha. She carried a bouquet of white roses and pink and blue baby’s breath.Matron of honor and bridesmaid were her sisters Mrs. Hon De Kam (Helen) and Mrs! Roy Bliek (Janice) respectively. Their dresses were pink and blue made of cotton voile with ruffle trimmed bodice, long puffy sleeves and a ruffle on the botton of the skirt. They too were lined with taffeta. Leanna Bylsma was minature bride and her dress was white made like the bridesmaids dresses. Helen and Janice each carried a pink and blue large mum. They all wore minature mums in their hair to match their dresses.The groom wore black trousers with white tuxedo and a white rose with white mum boutonniere. Larry Blysma, brother of the groom was the bestman and Henry Wierda, friend of the groom, was groomsman. They each wore black trousers with blue tuxedoes. Jeff Bylsma, nephew of the bride, was minature groom. He wore black trousers with shite tuxedo. They all wore white carnation boutonnieres.Mary Lou Bylsma, cousin of the bride was organist and Deb Schoulten, friend of the brise was soloist. She sang the ,fWedding Song” and the “Lord’s Prayer,” Candlelighters were Jolvn and Julie Van Kekerix, sisters of the groom. They wore flowered eyelet dresses lined with pink and blue rayon. They had empire waist and short puff sleeves and a ruffled hemline, They wore colored sashes to match their lining. Ushers were Wes Overman and Wayne Steenhoven, friends of the groom.The brides mother chose a jersey blue and white dotted dress with a short sleeve and large bow down the side of the long full skirt.
