Hndoc Married TodayIniermingled with the soft greenery ; oi palms and ferns were yellow and j white gladioli which banked the cross j at tlie rear of the chancel in St. Paul's ] Lutheran church this morning for the j wedding of Miss Velma Karkosiak and i John J. Hudoc, both prominent business people of this city. Adorning the altar before which the vows were exchanged were white rosebuds and greenery'.Eev. Herman H. Will, pastor of the church, officiated at the service which took place this morning at 6 o'clock in the presence of the families and a large number of friends. Preceding the ceremony W. A. Holland, church organist, played “At Dawning and during the wedding “Oh, Promise Me,” as well as the Mendelssohn wedding march.The bride was becomingly gowned in white French crepe with a matching picture hat and her bridal bouquet was of orchids, lilies of the valley and gardenias.Immediately following the ceremonythe newlyweds left for a Canadian honeymoon. They will spend a week at Newgate, B. C., where they will be guests of the bride's uncle and aunt,Mr. and Mrs. E. N. Lynn, the former | of whom is Canadian immigration in- j spcctor. From Canada the couple will 'lt; go to Los Angeles, Cai., and other interesting points on the west coast. After the latter part of August they will be at home in a newly furnished apartment in the Hotel George, East Fayette street.The bride is a well known business woman, having been secretary to At-! torney Allen D. Williams for about 15 i years. Mr. Hudoc is identified with the Uniontown Paint and Glass company.Several pre-nuptial parties were given for the bride, one of the most j attractive being the kitchen showerj Saturday evening in the home of the j Misses Martha and Edith Rushaw, of ConnellsviJle. Bridge was the diversion of the evening with three tables in play and a dainty luncheon in a i color scheme of yc-llow and green sen'- j ed at the close of the evening. 'A feature of the evening was the' mock ceremony after which the brides- j ! maids presented the bride with a love- : ly box, decorated in yellow and green i and filled with useful gifts for her kitchen.
