Butler, of Whaleyville, were maVried at the home of the bride’s parents -at nine o’clock Wednesday morning, Rev George 13. Brown, pastor of Bates Memorial M. P. Church of Snow Hill performing the marriage ceremony.The house decorations were pink and white, the color scheme being attractively carried out without flowers..The wedding inarches were played by Miss Evelyn Shockley.The bride wore a blue blonde ensemble, and a corsage bouquet of Bride roses. 'Only the immediate members of the family, and a few intimate friends of the bride were present to witness the ceremony.Immediately after the ceremony a wedding breakfast was served, after which the bride and groom left on a wedding trip of two weeks to the mountains of Pennsylvania and other points. On their return Mr. and Mrs. Butler will reside at Whaleyville, where Mr. Butler has been located the last eight years.The bride is ail attractive and popular young lady. She is a member of Bates Memorial M. P. Church, a member of the choir, and active/ in all church and Sunday School work.For two weeks preceding her marriage she was extensively entertained and showered with gifts and other tokens of friendship and appreciation.
