GOLDEN WEDDING—-Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Calton who are observing their golden wedding anniversary quit# quietly at their home in Lehi today. Because of the poor health of Mr. Calton no formal celebration Is planned, but -a family dinner in their honor will be held at their home on Saturday, May 3. Mr. and Mrs. Calton were married in the Salt Lake IDS Temple April 30, 1908.Joseph Calton, son of pioneers William and Eliza' Guttridge Calton^ was born June 25, 1874, at HoUaday, Salt Lake County. He has filled the occupations of railroad section foreman, teamster and farming. He is an Elder in the LDS Church, has worked in the YMMIA and has been associated with the Home Dramatics association. For many years !he was a member of a quartet which furnished music cn many occasions. He also haselude hunting and fishing.Mary I. Wilcox Sabey Calton was born March 19, 1884, at Cedar Fort, Utah County, a daughter of Samuel Allen and Anna Christiana Peterson Wil-j cox, also early pioneers. An j active member of the LDS I church, she has worked in th« YWMIA as secretary-treasurer. as a teacher in both the Primary Association and the Sunday School in the Cedar Valley LDS Ward. She is also active in the Relief Society and the Daughter* of Utah Pioneers.She married Eugene Sabey May 20, 1903. He was killed in a mine aceldent April 11, 1906. There were two boys born to thi# union, the eldest dying in h*-fancy. On April 30, 1906, she married Joseph Calton in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. The family resided in Cedar Fort until 1924 when they moved to Lehi wber* they have sine* resided.taken an active part in baseball
