SOURI, FRIDAY, APRIL 30, 1901Mashek-Shilharvey.St. Mary’s church, at Mashek, was the scene of a very pretty wedding on Wednesday morning April 21, 1909, being that of Mamie Shilharvey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Shilharvey, and John Mashek, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jno. Mashek.I The bride was attended by two bridesmaids, Misses Rosa Mashek and Anna Shilharvey; the two groomsmen were Joseph Shilharvey and Joseph Mashek. r-All parties are of Mashek vicinity. The bride wore a gown Mof handsome white messaline . satin, beautifully trimmed with r net and silk buttons, and her pretty white veil was caught I with white carnations. The ( bridesmaids were becomingly l attired in white silk pongee and ’ looked very neat. The groom j |! and the two groomsmen wore | the usual black, making a dres- i sy and neat appearance. The ‘i bridal party as they ascended• to the altar steps were met by ; their pastor, Rev. Father .Stepan of St. Louis, who performed the ceremony.After the ceremony the bridal •1 party adjourned to -the home of :' the bride where the wedding I breakfast-uinner was served to r. them and immediate family rel-t jatives and friends. After the 1 feast, dancing to excellent music was indulged in throughout , the whole night and a table full , of delicious foods and drinks i was kept spread all night and- in all respects the occasion was- pleasant in the extreme. The* presents received were unusu- — ally pretty and very handsome.The bride is a general favorite among her many friends; she is a lady of pleasing man-1 ner. The groom is a prosperous i vj land successful farmer. He is r,; I well known and liked and has! . . many friends.
