It is hard to tell what will occur during the term but owing to the lateness of the season and wet weather, it is pretty certain that the court will cut things to the minimum in order to allow the farmers to get into their fields at the earliest possible moment.The grand jury was empaneled in the usual manner and consisted of the following:O. Will Make Horn®HereThis morning at eight-thirty o’clock at St, Alphoiisus Catholic Church occurred the marriage of Miss Mary M. Walker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Walker to Mr, Paul (V O’Connor. son of Mr, and Mrs. WilliamO’Connor.Promptly at eight-thirty o’clock thebridal party entered the church to thestrains of Mendelssohns wedding march played by Miss Agnes Walker of Aurora, sister of the bride, and took their places at the altar. They were attended by Miss Helen Morrow as bridesmaid, and Mr. Will Walker, brother of the bride as best man.Messrs. John Walker. brother of tlie bride and Paul Morony were the ushers. The nuptual mass was celebrated by the Rev. Father Gaffney of St. Alphoiisus Church. The offertory solo **Ave Maria” by J. Petrie, was sung by Mr. Edward YY'alker. a brother of the bride.The bride was very charming in a gown of white crepe de chene with veil and carried a bouquet of pink and white roses tied with white tulle. The bridesmaid w-as becomingly gowned in pink crepe de chene with hat to match and wore a corsage bouquet of sweet peas. The groom and best man wore the conventional black.Following the ceremony, the bridal party repaired to the home of the bride’s parents where a three-course wedding breakfast was served to the immediate relatives of the young people.The bride is in every way one of Mt. Pleasant's finest young women. For a time she w*as employed as an operator at the Mt. Pleasant Telephone office, resigning about a year ago. Since that time she has been in the dental office of Dr. C. O. Jerrel where she proved herself very efficient. She is much beloved by all who know her.The groom is a well known young business man of this city, being a partner in the new grocery firm known as “Paul and Jack’s store” on the west side. He was formerly the junior member of the William O’Connor Son Grocery and Meat Market situat ed on the south side. Upon the outbreak of the war he entered the arniy and spent several months in service much of it being spent overseas.The bride and groom left today on a short honeymoon trip, their destination being unknowm. Upon their return they will be at home in a cozy new bungalow on West Clav. They have tlie best wishes of a host of friends for a happy life together.It is interesting to note that today is the thirty-third wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Walker, tha bride’s parents and thirty-fourth wedding anniversary of the groom’s parents. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. O’Connor.
