Claussen, a former Galena young man:The wedding of Miss Clara L. Pierce, daughter of Mr. and Mih. Charles II. Pierce ol lOfitt Iowa street to Alfred R. Claussen of tills city, which occurred at 8 o’clock Wednesday evening, was one of the prettiest of tho post-EuBter weddings.Tho home was beautifully decorated in dowers and ferns, and before a bank of palms and stately Easter lilies the ceremony was performed. Rev. Hugh D. Atchison, pastor of St. Luke’s Methodist church officiated, using the beautiful Episcopal ring service.The bride wore a dainty gown of white tulle, trimmed in real lace and carried a large bouquet of bride’s roses. She was unattended. Misses Isabel West and Mildred Schaetzle played the wedding march.After the ceremony a delicious1 wedding supper was served to those present, forty in number, the immediate friends of both families and the out-of-town guests. Ferns, sinilax and carnations served as decorations in the dining room.Among the guests were Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Kraehmer and daughters of Galena, Mr. and Mrs. 11. P. Martin of Keota, la.; Mr. and Mrs. William Beisman of Galena, Miss Mary Rollins of Chicago, Herman Claussen of Galena, Chester Richardson of Ackley, la., and Miss Pansy Carter of Monti-xiello.Many gifts of furniture, cut glass and silver were received by the young people, both of whom are well known and popular in Dubuque. The bride has been in the employ of the Iowa Telephone company for some time.1 he groom Is a member of the tlrni ofBoldt’s.Mr. and Mrs. Claussen will be at home after May 17, at 1150 Main street.
