Miss Charette Alyce Tushek weds William Walter Burnett Jr.Miss Chare lie Alyce Tushek and William Walter Burnett Jr. were united in marriage on Saturday, March 7, 1998 at half after six o’clock in the evening. The double ring ceremony was performed by Reverend W.B, Sandberg at The First United Methodist Church in San Marcos. Nuptial music was provided by Mrs. Bess Hopson, organist; Miss Tricia Grier, soloist; and Michael Harig, trumpeter. Coby Neal of Austin created the beautiful massive urn arrangements and arched candelabra across the front of the altar. A dinner dance reception followed the ceremony at Green Pastures in Austin. The restaurant is housed in the former Victorian home of the late Judge W.W. Burnett, great grandfather of the groom. On the eve of the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was hosted by the grooms parents at the Salt Lick, Driftwood.The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Rudolph Tushek of Lake Jackson. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Ivy Doyle and the late Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Robert Tushek of San Marcos. The groom is the son of Mrs. Kay Burnett and Judge William Walter Burnett of Wimberley. He is the grandson ofthe late Mr. and Mrs. Allen Franz of Bay City and the late Mr. and Mrs. William John Burnett of San Marcos and Wimberley.Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose an elegant formal sheath gown designed by Deme trios of New York in diamond white satin. The halter style bodice was entirely covered with pearls and accented at the neckline by a pearl embellished band which continued as simps attached to the low hack. The cathedral length satin train was bordered by a wide band of hand beaded pearls. The illusion veil flowed from a crystal and pearl princess tiara. She carried a trailing bouquet of white butterfly orchids, dendrobium orchids, white roses, lily of the valley andstephanotis.Serving the bride as maid of honor was Miss Krista McCamish of Houston. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Chandra A oneilie, MissMichelle Arausa, Mrs. Car inChampion-Mullens* and Mrs.Kalhi Haralson of Austin, Mrs.Kelli Bloxham of Houston and Miss Tm Perilloux of Dallas. The attendants wore slipper length empire styled sheaths of mocha crepe with satin bodices designed by Jim Hjelm and were accessorized by black opera length gloves and slippers. They carried clutches of white roses, hand tied with bronze ribbons. Flower girls were Miss Jessica Doyle of Buda, second cousin of the bride andMiss Laura Waelbroeck of Austin,niece of the groom. They wore white satin floor length dresses by Mott Che tie with satin scroll designs and accents of satin rumpink roses.Serving the groom as best man was his father, Judge William Walter Burnett of Wimberley. The groomsmen were John Aoueille and John Haralson of Austin, Matt Barbar of Round Rock, Tom Pittman of Corinth, Jeff Welter of Rockwall, and Jackie Davidson of Houston, Kipp Johnson of San Marcos, and Brett Kowald of Austin. The ring hearer was Matthew Doyle of Buda, a secondcousin of the bride. Members of the house party were Mrs.Lucinda Doyle of Buda, Mrs. Nola Doyle of San Marcos and Mrs. Dawn Krieg of Houston.The bride is a graduate of B razoswood High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from Southwest Texas State University. Charelle is a member of Chi Omega Sorority and Phi Upsilon Omicron, honorary society. She is an Interior Designer with Riley-Brown, Inc. in Austin. The groom is a graduate of San Marcos High School and received a Bachelor of Business in Finance from Southwest Texas State University. Bill is a County Commissioner for Hays County.A bridesmaids luncheon was hosted by Mrs. Boyett Doyle, Mrs. Brian Doyle and Mrs. Lamount Ramage on the wedding day at La Madeleine in Austin.Following a Caribbean honeymoon on the island of St. Thomas the bride and groom will be at home in Wimberley, Texas.
