Mr. and Mrs. Jon ShultzPatricia Renken is brideSt. John American Lutheran church in Le Mars was the setting April 7 for the wedding of Patricia Renken of rural Le Mars and Jon Shultz of Merrill. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Renken and he is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Shultz of Merrill.Rev. Arnold Imbrock read the double ring vows at 6:30 p.m. before the altar decorated with blue pompon mums, carnations and white glads.Frank Summerside was the soloist and Becky Weidauer was organist.The bridal gown was fashioned of organza and chantilly lace embroidered with seed pearls and iridescents. The slim fitted bodice was styled with a Victorian neckline overlaid with jeweled lace motifs which were repeated on the cuffs of the long bishop sleeves. Jeweled lace adorned the bodice above a lifted waistline and extended down the front of the skirt which featured an attached chapel length train on which the garlands of jewels were repeated.She wore an imported illusion veil which was caught to a camelot of lace and jeweled motifs and she carried red rosesA T■and white carnations.Mary Ann Jennings of Le Mars wasmaid of honor and- Mrs. Rodney Kuecker was bridesmaid. They wore gowns fashioned of blue and white chiffon featuring softly rolled collars, long sheer bishop sleeves and a slightly gathered toe-length skirt. Pleated lace and trim of tiny blue flowers detailed the bodice and formed a ruffle at the cuffs. Waists were defined with a satin ribbon in blue.Bridal attendants carried Victorian clusters of yellow carnations and white daisies.Danny Hoppe of Le Mars was bestman and Mark Meylor was groomsman.Flowergirl was Becky Howell and Danny Renken was ringbearer.The wedding reception was held for 200 guests at the church parlors.The bride is a graduate of Le Mars Community schools and Spencer school of business. She was employed at Fidelity Investment company in Sioux City.The bridegroom is a graduate of Le Mars Community high school and he is in the army.For their wedding trip the couple traveled to their new home in Copperas Cove. Texas.
