Tetfc, Saturday afternoon and evening, April 22, v/hen a large circle of friends from Foxwarren and neighboring towns gathered to tender eon-, grntulations. Several oouqueus of flowers and gifts were received. Mr. and Mrs. Curhbertson are both in their 87th year, enjoying life and able to attend the church services, in which they take a keen interest, besides’ oilier social activities.Their golden anniversary was celebrated. in Vancouver at the home of*Srs. Quc., honored Sunday on their 60thheld an 'at home’ on the occasion of their 57 tk anniversary at- their farm residence near Foxwarren.All t-be members of the family living were present at their 60th anniversary: Mieses Christina. andAmelia, who reside at home; Mies Mary, who teaches in Winnipeg; Mrs. Thomas Clerke, and Mrs. William Tett, of Foxwarren. and one son, Isaac,, residing at home. There are eight grandchildren.Mrs. Cnthbertscn, formerly Jessie Stark, was born, in Clarendon, Quebec. Mr. Cuthbertson was boru - in Bristol, Pontiac county, Quebec. They were married April 23, 1873, in Pon-, anniversary, r.iac, Quebec, by Rev. M, McLaren. .jThey resided In Bristol till 14 yearsago. when they moved to Fox warren.The rooms were prettily decorated ) with flowers and-the tablo centred by the wedding cake. An Interesting feature of the occasion was the use of a- tea 100 years old, which was used at their wedding.At the conclusion of the Sunday evening service in the United church Mr. ancl Mrs, Cuthbertson ware presented with a bouquet of carnations. Rev. R, G. Thompson spoke fittingly of the inspiration of their lives in the community, and little Lawrence Williams made the presentation, The hymns for the service were chosen by Mr. and Mrs. Cuthbertson.{
