Ceremony Performed in St. Ger trude’s Church by Father Daly St. Gertrude’s church, West Con shohocken, was the scene of a pretty wedding on Wednesday afternoon, when Miss Mary Kane became the bride of Joseph McGettigan, of Gulf Mills. The ceremony was performed in the presence of a large assem blage of friends at three o'clock, with Rev. Father Daly officiating. The bride was attended by Miss Margaret Engan ,of Front street, West Conshohocken, as bridesmaid. Joseph McElhattan acted in the capacity of best man, . The bride looked charming in a tailored suit of dark blue serge and a smart blue satin hat. She wore black satin slippers and black stock ings and carried a beautiful arm bouquet of lilies of the valley and white bridal roses. The bridesmaid was attired in an attractive beige color tailored suit with matching hat of straw and black suede pumps. Pink roses and lilies of the valley fashioned her lovely bouquet. A reception for the bridal party and close relatives at the home of the bride followed the ceremony. Easter flowers in pretty profusion decorated the house, Mr. and Mrs. McGettigan left in the early evening for Bloomingdale, Pa., where they will visit Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Barnhart, former residents of West Conshohocken, and upon their return will take up their residence at Gulf Mills. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Kane, No. 17 Merion avenue, West Conshohocken, and is prominent in the younger social life of this vicinity. The groom has been a life-long resident of Gulf Mills and holds a responsible position at the Rich- Sampliner Knitting Mills.
