lyrone Power Drops His Wedding Plans to Wire Fiesta GreetingsMissouri Is “Best Place for Hospitality and Good Time,” Says Star In “Jesse James”—Director Henry King and Henry Fonda Also Send Message of Congratulations on Celebration.Tyrone (Jesse James) Power, Twentieth Century-Fox star, took time out: during preparations for his wedding to the glamorous Anna-bella Sunday to telegraph greetings to Fiesta officials for the fifth annual Four-State Fiesta celebration,to be staged here tomorrow andWednesday,Congratulatory messages also were received from Henry King, ace film director, who supervised the filming of the “Jesse James technicolor picture in the Missouri Ozarks last summer, and from Henry Fonda, who played the role of Frank James in the movie.“Congratulations on your fifth annual Fiesta, “telegraphed Power. “Stories and pictures published out here (Los Angeles) have made me want to join in your celebration. There is no place ,like Missouri forhospitality and a good time. Best wishes.Fonda's telegram read:“Glad to hear of your Fiesta. There is only one thing I hold against your celebration, and that is it comes at a time I'm making another picture and can't join in the fun. I know you’ll have a great time.“I envy anyone who can attend your Fiesta, telegraphed King. “Missourians certainly know how to be host. If I could get time off I would fly over for at least a quick 'hello,* but since I can't, this telegram will have to convey my very best wishes for a grand celebration.King, Power and Fonda were frequent visitors in Joplin during the filming of the, “Jesse James scenes in nearby McDonald county and have a wide acquaintance of friends in the Four-State district.
