Mrs. Geyer weakened a little and indicated that although she had nothing to say at present, something might be disclosed for publication in the next few- days, indicating in response to queries that the romance was about to ho culminated. Mrs. Geyer showed a distinct disinclination for any publicity.NSUTI \TIO\ CLEARED | |».However, a call to Geyer immediately cleared up the situation, lie stated that although the elopement had been intended to remain a secret until a formal announcement was made, he confessed reluctantly at first that a license had been procured. and later that the marriage had taken place at the Methodist Episcopal church in Waukegan.The parents of the couple apparently were ignorant of the affair. A call to Mrs. Howe brought forth the response that she knew nothing of the marriage whatsoever.. tRTIST or PROMISEMrs. Geyer is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Howe, 1259 Jefferson street, and received her preliminary education in the Hammond schools. In addition to the personal charm which distinguishes her. Mrs, Geyer possesses considerable talent as an artist, and developed it at the Chicago Mehool of Fine Arts. At. present she is a member of the advertising art staff of the Davis company. Her work is believed to show promise of an excellent future.Two years ago next summer, Mrs. Geyer Vas entered from Hammond in the national beauty contest at Atlantic City, and after surviving all the eliminations, remained in the select quintette which was chosen as the fairest froiti the districts of the nation.
