Kcr Father John performed tire ceremony. The bridewore a handsome princes* gown of white satin vrith white hnt and gloves, and car-I Hod bride's roses and ferns. The hi ides-maid, Miss IVail Horsey, of Joplin, a cousin of the bride, wore a frown of blue [jacquard * ill; with blue hat and gloves, and carried roses. Joseph A rend, a brother of the bridegroom, acted as best nan. Irmiediatvl after the ceremony a weddipg breakfast was served at the home of Mr. Arend's mother, and laterv W * ^the young couple left for Joplin andpointm in Oklahoma on a short honey I moon trip. Mrs. A rend Is the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. .1. I,. Horsey ol Aurora, formerly of Joplin, Mr. Horsey' being a well known mine operator of this place. Mr. Arend Is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Nick Arend of Aurora. There were about seventy-five guests present, including relatives fropi Joplin and Springfield, Mo., and Fori Seolt and Him id. Kan.
