Miss Dempsey honoredwith linen showerSusan J. Dempsey of Gordonville, bride-elect of Tern L. Smart of Houston, was honored on April 11 with a linen shower.Carol Ingram, Miss Dempsey's former roommate at Texas AM. of Dallas was hostess and assisted the honoree with the gifts.Ann Mannewitz registered the guests.Refreshments were served to those attending.Special guests included the honoree’s mother, Martha Dempsey, of Gordonville. Lucille Atwood and Matt Done-lson of Eastland, and Betty Dempsey, all aunts of the bride-elect, of Dallas.Out-of-town guests were Dean Miller of Eastland; Annette Justice of Cisco; I^Vern Farr of Abilene; and Dorothy Avrett of Arlington.The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Dempsey of Gordonville and the prospective bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Smart, Sr., of Houston.
