LoperMarry in CityThe First Methodist church was the iscene of the wedding at S o’clock Saturday afternoon of Miss Betty Shroyer, daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Russell H. Shroyer of this city, and Liedt, Warren McConnell Loper, son of Mr. and Mrs, W. F. Loper of Shelbyville, Ind. Dr. O. W. Whitman officiated.Baskets of ealla IJllies and pink snapdragons, ferns and greenery, were used in the church decorations, as were a pair of seven-branched candelabra with white Cathedral tapers.Preceding the ceremony, Mrs. Jerome Kloss, organifet, played “One Alone,” “At Dawning, and “IndianLoye Call.” Mrs. Howard Greenlee sang “Because” and “Ich Lieba Dicn.”The bride, givaa in marriage by her father, wore a gown of candlelight satin, fashioned with a full skirt that fell into £ semi-train, atigljit-fitting shirred' bodice and a round neckline. The shirred sleeves came to a point over the hands. The yoke of marquisette, made with slightly dropped shoulders, was edged with satin braid. The finger-tip-length veil of illusion was fastened to a half-hat of candlelight satin which was capped by a band of white sweetpeas. Her bouquet was composed of orchids tied with satin riboons.iter attendant was Mrs. Edward Frdnkum of Kansas City, Mo., formerly Miss Madeline Tharp of this city, who was attired in a gown of! pastel blue net over satin. The gown was fashioned with a square, tucked (yoke and round neckline and had tiny satin buttons down the front. Her veil was fastened to a half-hat of blue satin and was shoulder-length. Her bouquet was composed of Jlnk roses and blue agatha.Both Mrs. Shroyer and Mrs. Loper woblack sheer with white lingerie trim and corsages of gardenias.lieutenant Loper wore his full-dress uniform of the Army, Air Corps and his father, who served as his beslt man, wore a dark business suit. The ushers were Albert Robin-, son and Harry Riser, Jr.A reception was held at the Shroyer home at 1119 East Sycamorestreet for members of the wedding party and 70 guests. The home was decorated with pink snapdragonsand pink roses. Assisting at the reception were Mary Jane Decker, Peggy Neusbaum, Mrs. Edward Frdnkum, Rosamond Walker, Mrs.1 Robqrt Offutt, Mrs. Claude Bundy I and Mrs. Frank Robinson.| For her wedding trip the bride wore a gold silk jersey dress with a half-hat of brown straw. Her shoes, purse and gloves were brown.I Mrs. Loper is a graduate of Vincennes high school and Vincennes 1 university. She attended Ball State Teacher’s college, wheie she was a ’ member of Pi Zeta sorority. ’She . also is a member of Tri Kappa sor-; ority and Job’s Daughters.lieutenant Loper, a graduate of Shfelbyville high school and Ball Stqte Teacher’s college, enlisted in the Army Air Corps in February, 1943. He graduated from Foster Field Army Flying school, Victoria, Tex., where he received his wings and commission as a second lieutenant on April 15. He will return : there for additional training on a ;P-38. Mrs. Loper will accompanyhim.Among the out-of-town guests were Mr. and Mrs. J. W.
