Several Youths of the Eau Claire High Put Out, an Incipient Blaze.Fire broke out about 11:20 this morning in the “roof of Thomas McDermott’s residence, Grand avenue West Sparks from the chimney had fallen upon the roof. The fire was first seen by High-School students. S. Walmsley and three other boys from the school rushed to the scene, and while some went to the roof by way of the attic, others supplied water, and thus the fire was extinguished. Damage slight A detachment of the fire department arrived, but the students bad done ail £ I that was necessary.
