Falloon-The marriage of Hon. George Fah loon and Miss Carrie K. McCord, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. McCord, at the residence of the bride s parents m South Colnmbns, Thursday afternoon of last week, was a social event m which Athens people took more than ordinary interest The oer-■% lt;ernonv was performed by Rev. A. C. Kelley, grand father of the bride, in ■lt; the presence of the family, relatives and 1 immediate friends. The bride wore a ; handsome gown of green llowered tatTeta w ith lace trimmings and carried a boquet of bride’s roses and carnations.■lae rooms were beautifully decorated with palms, srnilax and potted plants. The bridal table was decorated with ropes of sinilax from the center of theceiling: to the four corners of the table,in the center of w hich was a great bowl of yellow tulips and uatVodils.Senator and Mrs. Falloon were therecipients of many handsome gifts among them being a beautiful set of i silver, consisting of 7t5 pieces whichwas presented by Lieutenant tGovernor Jones, senators and other shite house tofficials.Mr. and Mrs. ]. II. Moore and Mr. C. E. M. Jennings were those present from Athens.Senator nnd Mrs. Falloon arrived here Saturday evening ami spent Sunday with their many friends. After the adjournment of the legislature next Monday, the newly wedded couple will take an extended trip through the west.
