Sheldon, Superintendent, announced plans for the 24th Annual Open Mouse at Rusk State Hospital Friday and Saturday, May 7and 8, 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Featured during the Open House will be tours of the recently opened Medical Build-ing, entertainment programs by volunteers, special awards presentations, and daily tours of special treatment programs.The “All Girls Choir” of Gladewater High School will present a musical concert at 10:00 a.m. Friday. A special Bicentennial program presented by the Rusk High School Choir will begin at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 7th. The nationally known 4‘Sunshine Singers” from Mexia State School will present a singing program Saturday, May 8th at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Rusk StateHospital.Open House for the Maximum Security Unit (MSU) of the hospital will be conducted Friday May 7th and open to tours by adult, college, and professional groups. A Bar-B-Que lunch will be served in MSU during the lunch hour on Friday. She and Markeeta Green sang “IPledge My Love” and “Welcome to My World.”Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose a gown of white quiana. The bodice featured a keyhole neckline and bishop sleeves trimmed with Venise lace. The skirt, gathered at the empire waistline, formed a chapel length train. A lace cap held the chapel length veil of illusion edged with lace. She carried a colonial bouquet of red and white carnations with baby’s breath.The bride wore a locket which her great aunt, Mrs. Alice Pace, wore at her wedding 65 years ago and worn by both of the bride’s sisters at their weddings.Debbie Pitts of Como was maid of honor.
