Heppner of Wheeling, became ■ the bride of George Barthule of i Wheeling, son of Jacob Barthule j Sr., Townsend, Mont.The ceremony took place at the St. John Ev. Lutheran ■ I church, West Northfield, at 6:30 : 1 p. m. April 7 with Rev. W. G. ; 1 Fechner officiating. The church ! was decorated with white satin ! ribbons on pews and white giad-| ioli.The bride’s gown was of Chan- ' tilly lace over white satin fash- \ \ loned with a mandarin collar, long sleeves and a long train edged with a ruffle of matching j lace. She wore a three-tiered ; fingertip veil of illusion and car-| ried a calla lily spray with j white satin ribbon streamers, j The matron of honor, Mrs. i Ruth Welzen, sister of the bride,| wore a gown of ice blue satin ' with full gored skirt, cap sleeves and mandarin collar. She car-Communlty Cameraried a spray of white carnations edged in blue.Bridesmaids were Mrs. Na^v Barthule, sister-in-law of the groom, who wore a gown tu p ...* satin and carried a spray of white carnations edged in pink; Mrs. Elaine Kruse, who wore yellow satin and carried a spray of white carnations edged in yellow, and Miss Dona Jean Miller, who wore green satin and carried a spray of white carnations edged in green. All attendants wore gauntlets which matched their gowns and halos of flowers in their hair which matched their bouquets.Best man for the groom was David Barthule, brother of the groom, and ushers were Anton welzen, brother-in-law of the bride, Ray Heppner, brother of the bride, and Fritz Schmiegelt, cousin of the bride.William C. Marten was the organist and Mrs. Violet Schuett sang “O Perfect Love’’ and “Let Us Ever Walk Wfith Jesus.”A reception for approximately 300 guests was held at the Wheeling Community Hall following the ceremony.For her daughters wedding the bride’s mother wore a navy blue dress with a corsage of yellow roses.The newlyweds are taking a three-weeks’ trip to Montana to visit the father of the groom and other relatives, after which they will reside temporarily at the brides parents.
