Tech, Sst and Mrs. Wood Hughes, Jr. are honeymooning this month in Northern Arizona and California. ‘They were mar ried Friday morning in St. Fran cis Church here. Mrs. Hughes, the former Miss Elizabeth Eugenia Burrus of Phoe nix, chose a bridal gown of white satin with a long fitted bodice and full skirt. A yoke of white net ac cented the neckline of the gown. Her bridal weil was three-quarter length, and she carried a white orchid arranged on a white prayer book. The bride was attended by Miss Elizabeth Mullen, maid of honor, who wore an orchid marquisette gown and carried a bouquet of yellow roses.Her sister-in-law, Mrs. William Burrus, and Mrs. Joseph Stanley were bridesmaids. Mrs. Burrus chose a peach mar quisette gown with talisman roses, and Mrs. Stanley was gowned in aqua marquisette with pink roses. Eugene Burrus, jr. brother of the bride, was best man, and Mr. Stanley, Williama Burrus and Rich ard Burrus were ushers. Mrs. Mitchell Hirsch sang wed ding roles. Mrs. Hughes’ parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Burrus, sr. enter tained wedding guests at a re ception in their home on Mission drive. Out-of-town guests present included Mr. and Mrs. Harry Ham bly of Huntington Park, Calif, and Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Dolan of Flag statl. Sergeant and Mrs. Hughes will establish a temporary home in Phoenix until Sergeant Hughes receives his discharge from the pray. At that time, they will reside in Tuscaloosa, Ala, Mia. Hughes was graduated from Phoenix Union High School and forty years attended Arizona State College at Tempe. She also was graduated from the St. Jo seph's Hospital School of Nursing and served three years in the many corps. She has been en gaged in private duty nursing in the city. Sergeant Hughes attended Flor ida high schools and the Univer sity of Florida. He served 26 months in the Pacific area during his seven years service in the army air forces. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. Wood Hughes, sr., of Tuscaloosa.
