This event marks s the conclusion of a long and happy y courtship. Mr. Hnrley is one of Madison I- county’s teachers, and stands high in his s profession. Miss Conner is a daughter of u Levi Conner, a wealthy farmer of Bich-y land, and Is?a most worthy yonng lady i* tn all respects.It is but a repetition of the old, old a story, ever new. It seems that this a yonng couple had long looked upon mat-t rimony os the only thing nnder the snn - which conld complete their happiness, bnt both being rattier yonng and bashful, they decided to have the matter over with ns little “ado” ns possible, and thus y save confusion and embarrassment both0 to themselves and their friends, but more t particularly to themselves. 8o, on last y Thursday they departed ostensibly for abuggy iide, and finding the ’squire at work in t field, stopped, and there, without witnesses, the words were spoken, P and the vows made, which shall write1 their future destinies “for weal or woe, for better or for worse.” They will be-0 gin housekeeping at once.
