Miss Owens,David SowderAre MarriedMiss Doris Owens, daughter of Mrs. Annie Owens, of Pulaski, became the bride of David Sowder, son of Mr. and Mrs. Otha Sowder,' of Shawsville, on Tuesday, April {), at 2 o’clock in the afternoon. The ceremony was performed in Woman’s Memorial Lutheran church, with the Rev. Charles G. Tusing, pastor, officiating, using the ring ceremony.The bride wore a gray pin-stripped suit, black accessories and a corsage of red roses.Only a few close friends attended the wedding.The bride is a graduate of Pulaski high school and the bridegroom graduated ffrom Shawsville high school.Following the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Sowder left on a short bridal trip after which they will reside in Shawsville. *-The official flower of the District of Columbia is the American Beauty rose.
