Ulliutl XI tt.John Trevethen and Shelby W. Jordan were caught in an ore chute in the Old Dominion mine at Globe one day last week. They were attempting to loosen the ore which had become clogged, when it suddenly gave way and fell upon them. The accident occurred on the tenth level, where the chute was only two feet square. In order to recover the bodies it was necessary to draw the ore off through the eleventh level, which required about two hours’ time. When taken from the schute the bodies were in close embrace, and badly lacerated and broken by the weight of the ore above them.
