Thomas A. Whiting performing the impressive double ring ceremony .Beautiful baskets of Easter lilies ami palms, with taperedcandelabra holding lighted white tapers in the background, were used at the altar.The nuptial musical programby John Dressier,w as rendered organist. Serving asman was histhe groom’s best brother. Gery Ed wil Williams, of Atlanta. Grooms men were Dr. Jay Dayton Wil hams Jr. of Pensacola, Fla. brother of the groom; Charles Franklin Cooper IV of Atlanta, brother of the bride; John A. Fell of Nina, Wise.; GordonWright Thompson and Merrill E. Waits, both of Atlanta.The bride chose her sister, Miss Mary Alice Cooper of Atlanta as maid of honor and bridesmaids were. Mrs. William Thomas Smith 111 of Wilmington, N C., sister of the bride; Miss Catherine Crawford Cooper of Atlanta, also a sister of the bride; Miss Susan Dorsey Cooper of Rochester, Minn.: MissJessica Anne Plapinger and Miss Kathryn Means Suggs, both of Atlanta.They wore identical gowns of pink jakarta made along skimmer lines. The hacks featured a panel of the fabric falling from a high rising neckline and they wore matching bouffant illusion veils. They carried off-white symbidium orchids with ruby throats and prize-winning miniature ivy from the garden of the bride’s parents.The bride, given in marriage by her father, was lovely in a gown of delustered satin with high-rising bodice of re-embroidered Alencon lace fashioned with a scooped neckline and elbow length sleeves, an A-line skirt, and a circular detachable train with a wide band of Alencon lace. Her bouffant illusion veil fell from a cluster of lace petals beaded with seed pearls and she carried phalaenopsis orchids and stcphanotis.Following the ceremony thebride’s parents entertained with a beautiful reception in the Great Hall of the church.After their wedding trip the couple will bo at home in Nashville, Tenn.PersonalMentionMrs. H.
