MARY KATHERINE ESTELL, RAY DILLARD SCOGGINS\\\MARRIED SATURDAY NIGHTMiss Maty Katherine Estell, daughter of Mr, and Mrs, I. I. Estell, 120S Summit, became the bride of Ray Dillard Scoggins, son of Mrs. Jewell Scoggins Barry, Saturday evening at 7.30 p.m. at the Missionary BaptistChurch.The Rev. Bruce Hibbitt, pastor Of the church, was the officiating clergyman for the double l*ing ceremony. Miss Patricia Clark was at the organ, playing traditional wedding music.The bride, who was given in marriage by her fa.ther, chose a blue lace gown over blue taffeta with a sweetheart neckline.1 Soft, unpressed pleats were featured on the street length skirt. A tiny white halo hat with veil and white accessories carried out the bride’s chosen colors. Her costume was completed with a corsage of feathered white carnations.Lewis Grimmett of Barry was the best man and Mrs. June Snyder served as matron of honor. The couple were assisted in receiving by their attendants.The refreshment table was aid with white net over blue centered with a floral arrangement of roses, iris and greenery n a crystal container, carrying out the bridal colors of blue and white. Tall white tapers were set in holders surrounded with white tulle poufs, centered with s white rosebud.Crystal appointments were used in serving the punch and traditional tiered wedding cake. Miss Jo Ann Ewing of Houston cousin of the bride, presided at the punch bowl and Mrs. Bruce Trammell of Athens, sister o the bride, served the cake.Miss Patricia Anne Estell was at the guest book. Guests were registered from Houston, Athens Wichita Pails, Dallas, Irving Barry and Corsicana.Following a short wedding trip to Fort Worth, the couple will be at home at 2101 N. Bea ten. For traveling the bride chose an orchid dress with white accessories.The bride attended Corsicana Sunior High school and the bridegroom attended Barry High school.
