Janice Muse Is Bride Of \athan Lee ThomasGREENTOWN — The First Baptist Church at Greentown was the scene for the April 11 wedding of Miss Janice Cassandra Muse and Nathan Lee Thomas.The double-ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Corey O. Mitchell of Beckley at 4 p.m.The bride is the daughter of Cordelia V. Toles of Greentown and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Thomas of Fort Deposit, Ala.Church decorations included palms and candelabraMrs. Alberta Toles Jackson, the bride’s aunt, was soloist. Mrs. Joseph Terry played traditional wedding music.Given in marriage by her uncle, Harvey Allen Toles of Dayton. Ohio, the bride wore a gown of imported ChantiDv lace and silk organza, featuring a scalloped neckline and long sleeves ending in points Accenting the organza skirt was a lace panel in front and a sash in the back. She wore a Chantilly lace mantilla.She carried a prayer book topped with a white orchid.Miss Muriel Cecilia Caldwell, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Floyd Goff of Winston-Salem, N. C., and Mrs. Edward Mazwell of Washington. D C.The maid of honor wore a street-length pink nylon chiffon over taffeta dress and carried a bouquet of pink rosebuds and white pom pons. The bridesmaids wore identical aqua gowms. They carried bouquets of orchids and pom pons.Best man w^as Claude Harrison of Durham, N. C. Usherswere George Turner, Raleigh Collins and Matthew Jackson, all of Montgomery, and John Toles, cousin of the bride, of Cleveland. Ohio.The bride’s mother wore a street-length natural color brocade dress with matching accessories and a corsage of pink carnations; while the bridegroom’s aunt, Mrs. John Sharpe of Pittsburgh, appeared in a floral print nylon dress with matching accessories and a corsage of pink carnations.A reception was held in the church dining hall.The bride s table was topped with a three-tiered wedding cake. The centerpiece was made of pink carnations.Aides were Mrs. Jerome Valentine, aunt of the bride; Mrs. Edith Cousins, of Columbus, Ohio, great-aunt of the bride; Charles Henry Wilborne; Mrs. Charles Evans; Miss Alyce Toles, cousin of the bride; Mrs. Mildred Allen and Miss Bernice Wilborne.When the couple left for a wedding trip the bride wore a pink nylon dress with matching accessories and a white orchid corsage.Mrs. Thomas was graduated from DuBois High School at Mount Hope and West Virginia State Teachers College She formerly was employed with the Civil Service Commission Man- , agement Region Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio.
