A three-tiered wedding cake formed the centerpiece of the bridal party’s table. Bouquets of red and white roses and ferns formed the centerpieces at the other two tables.A reception attended by 350 persons was held in the dining hall of, the church in the evening. Many beautiful and useful gifts were received by the bridal party. A short program was given at which the Rev. Mr. Ludwig acted as toastmaster, Refreshments were served following the program by Mrs. Leonard Casten, Mrs. Ed. F. Schroe-der, Mrs. Arthur Baltz, Mrs. Roy Duwe and the Misses Ralinda and Martha Lammert. The dining hall tables were decorated in white, pink, orchid and blue with white lighted candles.Monday morning the couple leftfor Chebanse, III,, on a honeymoon. Upon their return they will be at home on the Chas. Weihe farm in Grand Meadow township, south of Poslville.Mrs. Foels is a graduate of the Luana consolidated schools and Mr. Foels is a graduate of Poslville public schools.Gretchen Myers NamedTo Phi Beta Kappa./Iowa City (Special to The Herald) —Miss Gretchen Myers, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. J. Myers of Post-ville, recently was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, national scholastic fraternity, at the State University of Iowa, Iowa City.A senior in the college of liberal arts and majoring in dramatic arts, Miss Myers is a member of the Scarlet Mask, dramatic club, and Zeta Phi Eta, speech fraternity.
