CAUGHT AND iHUGE ROCK. Eaward Anderson, superintendent of construction for RhinehartBrothers, contractors, on the Buffalo Creek hill job, Benjamin Franklin highway, was so badly injured that fears are felt for his recovery iu a fall of rock about ten o’clock Wednesday morning. He was rushed to the Kittanntng hospital in an ambulance, where his condition is regarded as critical. He is suffering from a crushed chest and injuries to his back,Mr. Anderson and a crew of men. have been busy for the past two weeks getting work under way on the Buffalo Creek hill. Wednesday morning he was directing the placing of a shot on the hillside preparatory to blowing down a section ofrock. While so engaged, a large piece of rock above loosened suddenly and fell, striking Mr. Anderson. knocking him down and then falling upon him. It was estimated the rock weighed about 400 pounds.As quickly as possible-workmen removed the rock. Mr. Anderson was found unconscious. He was taken at once to the hospital In Walker’s ambulance.
