Shoreto Mr. Herbert Slaughter, son Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Slaughter of Kearney, took place at the^ homes of the bride’s parents east of the city on the evening of Thursday, April9 the ceremony being performed by Rev. Austin Lyons of Stromsburg.Attendants of the bride and groo were Miss Wilma Shore, sister of the bride, and Lester ~ Fagg, unc e of the bride, with little Miss Laura Burke as flower girl. The decorations were carried out in pink an white. There were two guests outside of the relatives, Miss Esther Sherich and Miss Opal Ryan, who played the wedding march^The bride was gowned ih a blue, satin dress with a corsage boquetof pink roses. She was a graduatetrcm the Osceola high school with the class of ’23. and it is Utere* ing to note that sne is the firstmember of her class to be married.Following the ceremony a three-course dinner was served. Mr. andMrs. Slaughter left Friday morning for a visit at Kearney, after which jhey will return’ to Osceola and Mr. Slaughter will engage in farming n this vicinity. They will be at home to their friends after May 15.
