A quiet,yet decidedly legal wedding took place in this city on Monday last, Justice Bartels officiating in his usual bland manner. Tliere were no bridesmaid, no groomsmen, no orange blcssoms and no veil. Not a stern faced father, a weeping bride, and anervous, yet flippant groom. City Marshal Talkinfc and officer Girk were the witnesses, aud attorney Cady the only guest. The groom was attired in a suit of mackinaw, while the bride wore a loose attire. It was the bid story of a girl who was unwise, and a youth who knew too much. As Justice Bartels pronounced tho final words that made the twain one, tho attorney present mused “Two souls, with but a single thought,’' “To. hearts that beat as one. Tho wedding party soon departed and separated. Only a slight “affair” some will lightly say —yet what a warning to youths and maidens.
