Suss - 'DctUwl)(excerpt from The Beaver, 7'uesday, November 26, 1968)Tall standards of pink and white gladioli graced the altar of the Lutheran Church of the Corss on Saturday, October 12, 1968 at 4 p.m. when Dana Lee, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Dorland, exchanged marriage vows in a double ring ceremony with Edwin Reinhold Buss, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Reinhold Buss, Beauscjour, Man. Pastor W.K. Raths officiated with Mrs. W. Raths as soloist and Mr. Appier as organist.Escorted to the altar on the arm of her father the bride looked radiant in a traditional floor legth gown ol Chantilly lace over satin. 1 he fitted bodice featured a scooped neckline edged with sequins and seed pearls and lily point sleeves. The full skirt was emphasized at the back by a semi-circle of organza roses. Her headpiece of organza roses and pearls held her four tiered silk illusion veil. She carried a cascade of pink sensational roses and white carnations with stephanotis and camelia leaves.Attending the bride was Roberta Osadick, as maid of honor, with Linda Buss, sister of the groom, and Lynn Sanford as bridesmaids. They wore sleeveless floor length gowns of georgette in contours of yellow, blue and pink respectively. The gowns featured a detachable cape effect coat. Crystal and pearl tiearas with matching veils formed their headpieces. They carried bouquets of white chrysanthemums tinted to match the color of their gowns.The bridegroom was attended by his brother-in-law, Lome Chlup, as bestman. The guests were ushered by Ron Oberick and Elmer Hintz.For her daughter's wedding the bride's mother chose a shocking pink dress with matching coat in Italian cord. Her accessories were pink and a corsage of white feathered carnations completed her ensemble. The groom's mother chose a jade green lace dress with matching coat. A velvet jade green hat completed her attire. She wore black patent accessories and her corsage was of white feathered carnations.A reception was held at the Victorian Room at the Windsorian Motor Hotel where the toast to the bride was given by Ies Lewis and ably responded to by the bridegroom.For going away, Dana Lee chase a pink wool dress, trimmed with white andmatching coat. Her white velvet wedding ring hat and corsage of white gladioli centered with pink sweetheart roses completed her ensemble. She wore black patent accessories.The happy couple left on their honeymoon trip to California and Nevada and upon their return will residen at Stc. 17-61Clayton Drive, St. Vital, Man.Out of town guests attending the wedding were Mrs. andMrs. R.
