WEDDING SOLEMNIZED YESTERDAY AFTERNOON AT FOUR O’CLOCK AT SS. PETER AND PAUL’S CATHOLIC CHURCHPretty Wedding: Ceremony of Estimable Young People of Interest And Importance.In the presence of a goodly number of the relatives and friends of the contracting parties, at lour o’clockyesterday afternoon, at SS. Peter and*Paul’s Catholic church occurred the wedding of Miss Dora Diimig, daughter of John Dllmlg, to Henry Bopp, a prosperous young farmer of Muscatine, Iowa. The uuptial event is of interest and importance in the community and joins together two estimable young people who have hosts of friends wherever they are known.The ceremony was a pretty and impressive one. As the clock chimed the hour of foul* the hridal part.v marched down the center aisle, the bride attired in a beautiful white messaline silk trimmed in pearls and all over lace, on the arm of her brother, Henry, who aced as best man, and followed by the groom, accompanied by Miss Pearl Werner, who acted as bridesmaid. The ceremony being performed the bridal party and guests assembled at the spacious home of the bride’s father, at Seventh and Locust streets, where a reception was tendered the newly wedded pair, and an elegant five course wedding dinner was served. The dining room was tastefully decorated, the color scheme being carried out in pink and white, with wedding bells, cut flowers, ferns and smilax. The evening was joyously spent by the guests in cards, music and other amusements and tb„e I final congratulations and well wishing be-,ng said they departed .. for then homes.The bride and groom were the recipients of many beautiful and useful presents, among which was a silver cracker bowl, in which were concealed $200 in twenty dollar gold pieces, given by the bride’s father. The out of town guests at the wedding were Mrs. E. W. Bopp and son, Frank, of Muscatine, mother and brother of the groom; Mr. and Mrs. Philip Bopp of Greely, Neb., and Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Bopp of Spaulding, Neb-The bride is an estimable young woman and a splendid housekeeper. She was wedded in a gown made by herself with the assistance of her bridesmaid. She numbers her friends by those wdio know her and is a splendid young woman in every way. The groom is a hustling young farmer of the Muscatine vicinity and a young man of merit and promise, 'a every way worthy the young woman who has become his bride. The younj* people will soon depart for Muscatine where the groom has a new home prepared for his bride.The News joins their many friends in wishing- them the best this old world affords.
