Rev. Donald G. Meyer performed the double ring ceremony at Trinity Lutheran Church, Persia.The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length gown of traditional bridal satin which she fashioned herself. The empire waist and long bell shaped sleeves were trimmed in white lace and velvet ribbon. Thecathedral length veil of lace was attached to a satin bow encrusted with beaded pearls. She carried a bouquet of yellow roses.Mrs. John Schnitker, Neola, la., was matron of honor. She wore a floor length gown fashioned the same as the bride,of lavender polyester trimmed with white lace and lavender velvet ribbon. Her headpeice was a lavender velvet bow. Her bouquet was of yellow jonquils and lavender sponge flowers.Mrs. Gary Johansen, Castana, la., sister of the groom; Carolyn Ring, Neola; and Nancy Minyard, Independence, Mo., were bridesmaids. Their gowns were of yellow polyester trimmed with white lace and yellow velvet ribbon. Their headpieces were yellow velvet bows and they carried bouquets matching the matron of honor.Rhonda Curtis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Curtis of Pacific Junction, la., and cousin of the groom, was flower girl. She wore a lavender gown and carried baskets of rose petals. David Christiansen, cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.Emory Arentson, Harlan, cousin of the bride, and Ray Johansen, Castana, nephew of the groom, lited the candles. Randy Hindman, Glenwood, was best man. Gary Johansen, brother-in-law of the groom of Castana, Larry Millsap of Red Oak, uncle of the groom, and Tim Steenbock of Ft. Wayne, Ind., brother of the bride were groomsmen.Seating the guests were Greg Steenbock of Persia, brother of the bride, and Bill Millsap, Ot-terville, Mo., uncle of the groom.Mrs. James Youmans was soloist accompanied by Mrs. Larry Elias.A reception followed the ceremony. Assisting were Charlotte Redinbaugh, Co. Bluffs; Mrs, Wayne Curtis, Pacific Junction; Mrs. Larry Millsap, Red Oak; Connie Svendsen, Co. Bluffs, and Mrs. John Wellman, Neola. Elsie and Velma Martens, aunts of the bride of Omaha, registered the guests.The bride is a 1967 graduateof Tri-Center Community High School and Iowa Western College School of Licensed Practical Nursing and is presently employed at the Jennie Edmundson Hospital, Co. Bluffs. The groom is a 1968 graduate of Glenwood Community High School and will graduate from Peru State College, Peru, Neb., this spring, After a brief wedding trip, they will make their home in Glenwood.
