In which he bruised hla right ankle that had been broken badly In another accident In Chicago several years ago. Anthony Granahan. aged 71, of Chicago. died at the soldiers’ home hospital Sunday morning at 12:4b of bloodpoisoning.Granahan had been a member or the home since April 24. 1908. when he entered from Danville, II!.. where he had been in the national home. For many years Granahan had been a member of the police force of Chicago, where his four children live.Mr. Granahan was a native of Glasgow. Scotland, where he was bom May 9. 1843. He enlisted in Company A, Thirty-eighth Iowa infantry, at Lansing. Dec. 16. 1863. and was discharged Aug. 15. 1865. at Houston, Tea. Mr. Granahan was a widower. His children are Mrs. Agnes Driscoll and Mrs. Della Brannan, and Hugh and George Granahan. tl »Accompanied by Mrs. Driscoll the body was taken to Chicago Sunday night for burial.cr v* v* t
