LAGUE-FUNK NUPTIALStar Fowler Girl Becomes Bride of Union Township FarmerA pretty wedding took place Monday, April 8, at high mass, 9 o'clock, at the Sacred Heart church at Fowler, when Mias Maye Gertrude LaGue,daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis La-Goe, became the happy bride of Bernard J. Funk of Lochiel. The attend ants were Miss Emily LFortune o Chicago, Illinois and a brother of the bride, Harry Charles LaGue. The bride was attired in a beautiful garment of white crepe de chine, and silk chiffon, white gloves and shoes, wit] a bridal veil, bonnet effect, donned with wild sweet peas. The bride cai go with them to their new home, wore a dress of light blue silk taffeta, a picture hat of white shadow lace, and light blue crepe de chine, white shoes and gloves, and carried a bouquet of white carnations and sweet peas. The men wore the convention-1 al black. The wedding was performed before only a few immediate relatives. After the ceremony the party was served an elaborate wedding breakfast at the home of the bride’s parents. Those present were, Mr. and Mrs. A. P. Morris of Kentland; Mr. and Mrs. Sidney LaGue, Mr. and Mrs. Hoy LaGue of Fowler; Mr. and Mrs. J. Stone. Mr. and Mrs. ClarenceIngraham and Miss Elizabeth Think of Lochiel. Many beautiful gifts were received by the newlyweds. Mrs. Funk is a popular young lady of Fowler and Benton county and an earnest member of the Sacred Heart church. She was employed for some time at the Egan Notion Store and there won the esteem and friendship of many. Mr. Funk is a popular young man of Benton county, and a very industrious farmer of the east section. The happy couple will reside in Lochiel. The Benton Review joins the many friends with hearty congratulations to ,Mr. and Mrs. Funk, and the best wishes go with them to thei mew home.
