PatThe altar in Radnor United Methodist Church was banked with twin seven branched candelabra, matching baskets of white gladioli and carnations and palms for the wedding of Carolyn Faye Hathaway and Eric Thomsen.The Rev. Phillip R. Emerson read the double ring ceremony on March 31 at 2:30 p.m. The organist, Mrs. Carl E. Mays, accompanied the soloist, Mrs. Douglas C. l^atia, sister of the bride.Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Orville K. Hathaway of Rt. 4, Delphi, and Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Thomsen of Rt. 1, Delphi.Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attired in a floor length white velvet gown with a sheer set-in yoke trimmed with seed pearls and Venise lace and featured empire waist, long full sleeves detailed with Venise and A-line skirt extending to a sweeping train. The chapel length mantilla and headpiece were adorned with matching lace. Her bouquet was of yellow roses and pompons in the pastel colors of the maid of honor and bridesmaids’ dresses, accented with a white bow and streamers.Miss Jennifer G. Hathaway of Lafayette attended her sister as maid of honor while another sister. Gail M. Hathaway of Rt. 4, Delphi, was bridesmaid along with Gail Overholser of, Rt. 4,Delphi; Neta L. Smith of Rt. 1, Delphi, and Lynn Thomsen, sister of the bridegroom.Cousins of the bride, Maria Jayne Zook, was flower girl and Andrew Scott Miller was ring bearer.John R. Best of Manchester, Mich., was best man, while Steven D. Clark of Rt. 1, Delphi, and Kevin L. Hathaway of Rt 4, Delphi, brother of the bride, were groomsmen. Ushers were Daniel A. Zook of Delphi and Lee D. Miller of Rt. 1. Delphi, cousins of the bride.Hostesses for the church reception were Miss Mary jo L. Mays, Miss Julie Miller and Mrs. Steven D. Clark along with junior hostesses. Miss Janelle Ward and Miss Calisse D. Miller, cousin of the bride. Guests were registered by Teresa Thomsen, sister of the bridegroom.A 1973 graduate of Delphi Community High School, the bride has served as secretary to Prof. Paul E. Stanley, Medical Dept. E., E. Bldg., Purdue University.Her husband attended Delphi Community High School. He just returned from six months sea duty aboard the USS Franklin D. Kesser III at 7 p.m. Saturday.The Rev. Theodore L. Her-tcnstein read the double ring ceremony, while Mrs. Grace Kesser, mother of the bridegroom, served as organist.Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Deane E. Yeakley of R(.3, Logansport. and Mr. and Mrs. James F. Kesser Jr. of Rt. 1, Royal Center.The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor-length, empire-stvle gown of venise lace over organza with long puffed sleeves and sheer bodice and was accented with daisies. Her matching headpiece of venise lace had a triple-tiered illusion veil. She carried a cascade arrangement of white stephanotis, tinted blue phoeleonopsis, orchids and pink sweetheart roses.Maid of honor was Sally Yeakley of Rt. 3. Logansport, and bridesmatron was Mrs. Deena Fiscel of Kendallville, both sisters of the bride.Best man was John C. Hinshaw of Royal Center and groomsman was Jerry Ellenburg of Muncie. Ushers were Tom Raderstorf and Ron Powlen of West Lafayette.Following the candlelight ceremony a reception for 125 guests was held in the social room of the church. Hostesses were Mrs. Shelley Skinner and Mrs. Pat Yeakley of Logansport and Mrs. Deb Kark of Whiting. Mrs. Joyce Grogg of Logansport was guest registrar, while Miss Beth Yeakley of Logansport and Miss Mary Ann Blue of Flora received the gifts.The bride, a 1971 graduate of Carroll High School and a 1972 graduate of Vincennes University School of Nursing, is employed at Memorial Hospital, Logansport.Her husband was graduated in 1971 from Logansport High School and is employed at Sears Roebuck and Co.After a short honeymoon, the couple will be at home at 640 Burlington Ave., Logansport.Sibert’s Photo Studio
