Engagement of Miss Vivian Cosby, Coach, and Erving Plummer, Librettist, AnnouncedThe engagement of two Boston Uni-ersity students. Miss Vivian Cosby, .special student at the School of Religious Education, and Erving Plummer senior at the College of Business Administration, was formally announced 3 esterday.Incidentally an unsuspecting reporter played the role of Dan Cupid when he gave Richard Cosby of 42 Bank st, lt;»m-erville. the first knowledge of his daughter s engagement about half an hour before the young couple arrived on the scene yesterday morning with their “wonderful sprprise.”Mr Cosby at that time declined to take the matter seriously, and termed it nothing less than a prank. Later in the day it was learned that after being fully convinced by the young couple that they had made up thear minds, he gave his approval and blessing on his daughter s engagement._The engagement has been expected the past few days by many of thlt; r fellow students, although the couple, it is understood, desired no keep it a secret until the early part of May. For the | past few months Miss Cosby has been coaching the ull-B. C. show, which will , be presented 1n a local theatre early in May, and young Plummer, as the iibret-i tist, has been constantly in her company. The progress of the affair has : been noted by many members of the j cast since its beginning. Plummer of Randolph. Miss Cosby u 20 years old.Miss Cosby started her theatrical career at the age of 3, when she gave a little dance in a vaudeville skit. L. show, she also is coaching h* r annual Futurists Revue, which will soon be given in the Somerville TheatreMr Plummer is a song writer, who hag not only written the score of Mias Cosby's Futurists Revue and part of tne B.
