The elopement was a greatsurprise to the friends and relatives• • #•••• *of the young couple, and even themother of the groom, Mrs. Mina■ • % , ■ ■- ...Meyer, and the parents of the hride, Judge and Mrs. . Harry Bernetha, were hot aware that . the son and daughter intended to be married when they went away, although they knew of the engagement which took place about Christmas time.A telegram, to .Judge Bernetha announced the marriage which took place Tuesday afternoon,. and further stated Mr. and Mrs. Meyer would return to Toel.ester Thursday.The marriage is highly satisfactory to all concerned and only congratulations and blessings await the young people on their return.Mr. Meyer is the only son of the late Ignace Meyer and Mrs. Mina Meyer. For several years before his father’s death, he was engaged in the raffle card printing business with his parents and is now manager of the business. He is a gentleman of many fine qualities of mind and character and is calculated to win out with success. Like his young bride, he is a graduate of! the Rochester High School and in fact the friendship which culminated in marriage began in school days. *Mrs. Meyer is the youngest daughter of Judge and Mrs. Harry Berne-tha, and is generally spoken of as a happy, handsome girl, having many friends among the younger social set where she is a‘favorite. Her accomplishments are not all along the line of social life however, for she is equally well versed in the things to make a home and helpmate all the words imply.For the present Mr. and Mrs. Meyer will reside with his mother in the Meyer bungqlow on South Pontiac street, where they will be at home to their friends.
