J. H. Fremdling will ship stock from Osgood Monday, April 14, and every Monday thereafter. Mr. Grover Caster and brother, Robert, ‘attended the house dance given at Swango’s, in Smyrna, last Saturday night. Mr. Harry Schuler attended a Sunday school festival at Holton Saturday night and reports a fine time. Miss Loorge Newman, who is working for Mr. Charlie Fromer at Greensburg, came home Saturday evening to spend Sunday with her mother and other friends, Miss Lillian Branner, formerly of this place, who has been working at Mt. Thomas, Ky., was married to Mr. Frank Morgan on the 28th day of March. Mr. dinnie Hertertenstein, of Illi nois, and Miss Cora Hertenstein, of Alexandria, are here a few days on account of the death of their sister, Mrs. James Gookin. Miss Venus Taylor fell on the ‘ce ment walk in front of her home last Saturday and broke her left arm. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Winnigham, of Indianapolis, spent a few days re cently with Isaac Hart and family, returning to their home Last Friday. Mrs. Harry Dannecker and Miss Daisy Black visited the former’s home folks at Marble Corner one day last week. Mr. Geo. Newman, of Smyrna, and brother, Victor, of Millhousen, spent Sunday at home with their mother. Mrs. James Newman, son and daughter spent Sunday with Charles itromer and family, at Greensburg. The oil man came to our town again Monday. No doubt he thought people were running out of oil, but some of the young folks say they don’t need oil for their lamps, es pecially the parlor lamp on Sunday nights. Mr. Fred Berkenbough, of Indi anapolis, is here visiting his wife and little daughter, and other rela tives and friends. Messrs. Clyde Lutes and Merle Griffith made a tip to Osgood Sun day night. Rev. Dallas Renn, who has been holding revival meetings at Lower Union during the past week, was calling on friends at Flatrock Satur day morning while enroute to his home at Napoleon. Mrs. Nora Hullig is with grippe. Henry Fowl was transacting busi ness at Napoleon Saturday. Miss Sadie Fowl was shopping in Millhousen Saturday afternoon. ‘George Wohler and family, of Ze las, were calling on Marion French and family, at Flatrock, Saturday. Mr. Winning is now running the huckster wagon under the employ of Merchant B W. Zapfe, of Mill housen. Lorenzo Hull is somewhat improv ed at this writing. Worthy Clark, of Waynesburs; Wellie Hull and family and Andy Hull and wife, of Tuckertown, Jer ‘lie Redelman and family, of near Greensburg, and Frank Bradburn and family, of Westport, were the guests of relatives here Sunday. Our teacher, Miss Adelyn Jack son, closed a very successful term at Fowl school last Friday. The patrons all commend Miss Jackson and highly appreciate the education al work she has done in the school room during the past term. Miss Jackson will attend school at Terre Haute during the summer term.
