Kelsey - Shugar Wedding Occurred Last Friday Evening.At seven o'clock last Friday evening, April 2, Miss Ruth Kelsey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. M. Kel- i sey, Iowa Falls, became the bride of : Lawrence Shugar, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Shugar, Ackley, at the home of her parents, in the presence of thirty-five relatives and friends. Dr. Wm. Butler, Methodist minister of Vinton, officiated, using the double ring ceremony. The couple was attended by Miss Alice Kelsey, sister of the bride, and Harold Kreimeyer, now of Pampa, Texas. The bride was attired in a beige suit with turf- ! tan accessories and wore a corsage of yellow jonquils. The bridesmaid wore i a dark brown suit with beige acces- , sories and a corsage of sweet peas. As Miss Mary Helen Kelsey played 1 Lohengrin's Wedding March, the 1 bride, given in marriage by her fa- i ther, and the groom and their attendants took their stand before a lattice work background, made attractive I with sweet peas and greenery. Two white wedding bells hung gracefully c from the top of the lattice-work. Pre- 1 ceding the ceremony, Miss Kathryn \ Kelsey played a flute solo, I Love You Truly,” accompanied at the piano : by her sister, Miss Mary Helen Kel- 1 sey. tFollowing the ceremony a wedding p dinner was served complimenting the i bride and groom and their thirty-five t guests, at Scenic City Cafe. A yel- 4 low and white color scheme was car- e ried out in nut cups, place cards, and s in the three tiered wedding cake, g which served as centerpiece,Mrs. Shugar was graduated from * Iowa Falls High School and attended ft Ellsworth Junior College. The past E three years she has taught the school one mile north of Cleves. Lawrence r was graduated from Ackley High School and is employed at Mart’s Tire Shop.Guests from a distance included:Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kelsey of Des sj Moines, Miss Mary Helen Kelsey. . Dixon, 111.; and Miss Alice Kelsey of ,r Dallas, Texas.
