Scbutter and Mbs Bertha Hast* ings United in Marriage.The following from yesterday’s Germania Record refers to the mama ge of one of onr energetic business men: “On Wednesday, April 6, Henry J. Sehutter and Mies Bertha Hastings, were married at the home of the bride's. parents, Mr, and MrB. Arthur Hastings, west of town. The wedding took place at 12 o'clock in the presence of a large number of relatives and invited guests, Rev. Sohnieder of the Lutheran church at Germania officiating. The yonng couple received many beautiful and useful presents, from those in attend -ance, which will be much appreciatedby them in the future life. The groom is the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Sohutter of this city, where he is well kuowu to his many friends. He was a resident of this city and vioinity for a good many years until about a year ago, when he went into the furniturebusiness with his brother at Buffalo Center and where he Js enjoying a growing business in his chosen line. He is a young man of clean habits and a ’good character and only the best can be said of him. The bride is a dang ht* er of Mr. and Mrs. A. Hastings, near Gerled, She is one of Kossuth county’s successful school teachers and those who know her best speak only praise of her beautiful character and her adtnir-ing personality. The youug couple will make their home in Buffalo Center and go at once to house keeping wher e the groom has prepared a home for h is young bride.” The happy couple have commenced housekeeping in the Drees-man house, just vacated by Ben Gala-gan.
