Wedding Bells*Married at the home of Mr. and Mrs. 3. W. Callahan in Liberty township, Monday, April 5th, 1897, at 4 p. m., their daughter Adda to Lewis Griffis. At the appointed hour the bride and groom entered the parlor to the strains [f the wedding march rendered by Miss Ava, sister of the bride, taking their places under an arch of cream lillies prepared for the occasion. The happy bride looked charming in her appropriate costume of white silk trimmed with elegant lace and ribbon. The groom in the conventional suit of black looked, as grooms usually do, proud and happy. The Interesting marriage ceremony was performed by Rev. Roderick, pastor of the M. E. church of Chariton, in the presence of a number of relatives and invited guests. After congratulations on this happy event, the wedding company sat down to a bountiful supper. Mr. and Mrs. Griffis left on No. 4, Tuesday, and will make an extended visit east and wilt be absent several months. The Patriot joins with their many friends in wishing these young married people every attainable happiness.
