Miss Hatti Louise Montgomery became the bride of James Wellington McLean in a Friday evening ceremony at Albertson Road Baptist Church which was decorated with baskets of gladioli and chrysanthemums, branched candelabra, Oregon ferns and a white satin kneeling bench.The bridegroom’s uncle, Rev. J. Lainer, officiated, and music was provided by Miss Brona Aiken, Miss Brenda Jones and Von Sumner.Given in marriage by her brother-in-law, Charles Aiken, the bride wore a gown of bridal satin with Chantilly lace bodice and overskirt, fashioned with scoop neckline and chapel train. A crown of seed pearls held her fingertip veil of illusion, and she carried a prayer book topped with white roses.Mrs. Charles Aiken was matron of honor for her sister and wore a taffeta sheath dress of rose champagne with matching headpiece. Other sisters served as bridesmaids. Mrs. Thomas Henshaw and Miss Jane Montgomery wore similar dresses in azure blue. All attendants carried bouquets of long-stemmed pink carnations,Mrs. Judy Cromer, sister of the bride, registered guests.The bridegroom had his father as best man, and ushers were Colon Cox, Gray Brendle, Clifton Cox and Ronnie Lainer.The bride attended High Point Central High School. She made her home with Mr. and Mrs. Aiken at 1107 Grace St.Son of Mr. and Mrs. H. B. McLean, the bridegroom graduated from the local high schooland is employed at P. A.
