Thomas Forrest JrMiss Linda Gail Overcash, an employe p of Zayre Department Store, and Harry h Thomas Forrest Jr., who works for r Concord Telephone Company, were married Sunday in Concord Lake Baptist y Church. 1The Rev. James Hatley heard the 4 i p.m. exchange of vows.The bride is a graduate of A. L. Brown High School, class of 1971. Her husband was graduated from Northwest Cabarrus High School in Concord in 1968.Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Harold V. Overcash of Bethpage Rd., and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Thomas “Dink” Forrest of North Drive, Concord.Mr. Overcash gave his daughter in marriage while Mr. Forrest was best i man for his son.The bride carried a Dolley Madison nosegay of carnations, pompons and baby’s-breath.Her gown of French re-embroidered lace and organza over taffeta embellished with seed pearls was designed with an empire bodice with stand-up collar. Her chapel-length train of organza over taffeta was held at the back midriff by a large bow. A flat bow of fabric to match her gown held her mantilla of illusion which was edged with scalloped lace.Matron of honor was Mrs. John Childress and maid of honor was Miss Wanda Childress, sisters of the bride.Serving as flower girl was Jennifer Quinn, niece of the bride.The honor attendants and flower girl were dressed in gowns of soft knit in shades of pink, lavender and yellow, and designed with empire waistlines, deep scooped necks and short puffed sleeves.They wore white lace hats trimmed in soft pink ribbon and carried longstemmed carnations of white, pink and lavender.Ringbearer was Eric Scott Ferguson.Serving as ushers were Terry Drye and Randy Edwards of Concord.Registering the guests, who attended from this state and from Florida, was Miss Glenda McClamrock.Mrs. Overcash wore a long light blue dress with silver trim, and a white carnation corsage.The bridegroom’s mother was in a long green knit gown trimmed in white lace and a corsage of white carnations.For a wedding trip to the beach, the bride changed to a peach knit pantsuit with yellow daisy corsage.Cake-CuttingThe cake-cutting was given in the social hall of the church on Saturday night by the bride’s parents.Miss Pam Bigham, Miss Sheila Allman and Miss Beverly Brown assisted with the entertaining.
