Miss Daisy Flagg was the only bridesmaid; she wore a simple dress of white silk, inset with Valenciennes insertion and hand-made medallions of lace. Her present from the bridegroom was a pretty gold chain and heart. Therewas a large reception after the ceremony. The presentsincluded a handsome silver rose bowl from the Deluge Fire Company, and another pretty silver bowl from the Union Church choir. After the reception Mr. and Mrs. Thomas left for Japan, the Deluge Company on the motor escape escorting them to the steamer. The bride s gotng-away dress was of champagne- j coloured veile over turquoise blue silk, and she wsre a hat of the same shade* iof blue.
