Jean Childs March BrideJean Childs, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard W. Childst of ISllonBozeman, were united in marriage ai a double-ring ceremony in the Djllon Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints March 17 with Bishop Leslie W. Childs, brother of the bride from Atwater, Calif., officiating.Hie bride chose a floor-length gown with a three-tiered skirt of layers of white taffeta, organza and lace. The high waisted bodice had a lace overlay accented with hand-sewn pearl beads. The hemline was trimmed with the lace overlay and embroidered with pearls. A long train fastened at the waist and was appointed with bead accented lace flowerlets.Her bridal veil was the traditional illusion secured todainty caplet of pearl embedded leaves of lace. Her bouquet, pompom mums was surrounded by yellow baby roses and trailing ivy.LaRee Jorgensen, sister of the bride served as matron of honor with Ann Marshall, sister of the groom and Geniel Barkdull of Montpelier, Idaho as bridesmaids. Their gowns were of polyester crepe fashioned in a simple A-line with rolled collar and semi-belt, accented in back with a gold ornament. The matron of honor wore deep lavender and the bridesmaids' dresses were springtime orchid.The flower girls were the bride's nieces, Lisa Childs and Wendy Jorgensen. All men of the wedding party wore white tuxedos arid ruffled shirts.A reception in the LDS Cultural Hall followed the ceremony.The wedding cake was fourtiered with lilac-colored buds and decorations and topped with a miniature bride and groom. Ice cream and fruit punch was served.The guest table, attended by Robyn Childs, was draped with a hand crocheted lace cloth ornamented with an old doll of the bride's, dressed in an exact replica of her gown.Rose Marie, Glenda and Mary Childs accepted and recorded at the guest table. LaNore Hilton, June Jones and Isabella Hartwig presided over the refreshment table and cut cake: They were assisted in serving by Twilla Childs and Robin and Tina Briggs.A short program was emcee’d by Lynn Thueson, counselor in the Butte Stake presidency.Janet Pancheri, accompanied by Sherri Willes, sang “A Wedding Song followed by Sheila Ballard with a reading. Wayne, Steven, Michael, Honey Rae and Lisa Childs with Wendy Jorgensen, all nieces and nephews of the bride, sang GiveSaid the Little Stream and Be Happy. LaNore Hilton and Barbara McCandless, accompanied by Mrs. McCandless on the guitar, sang We’ve Only Just Begun. Rob Kone, accompanied by his wife DeLone, sang his advice to the groom, How to Handle a Woman.
