JOHN WIL SON WILLIAMSMiss Judith Merle HavenIs Bride Of John WilliamsLEWISBURG (RNS) — The Old Stone Presbyterian Church in Lewisburg was the setting for the April 1 wedding of Miss Judith Merle Haven, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William D. Haven, and John Wilson Williams, son of Mr. and Mrs. James A. Williams, all of Lewisburg.A double-ring ceremony was performed at 3 p.m. before an altar decorated with white stock, daisies and baby’s breath arranged in brass candelabra by Rev. Thomas W. Apperson.Music was provided by Lee Gillespie.Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a Victorian style gown, which she made, of silk organza over satin trimmed with lace and seed pearls. The dress featured long full sleeves, high neckline, high rise waistline accented by satin ribbon and a chapel-length train. Her fingertip veil of French illustion was held by a headpiece of lace and seed pearls and her jewelry was a pair of gold earrings which belonged to her greatgrandmother. She carried a nosegay of gardenias.Miss Laura Jones o f Charleston was maid of honor and bridesmaids were Miss Johanna Patterson of Lewisburg and Miss Kathy Ralston of Ronceverte. Junior bridesmaid was Miss Mary Ann Haven, sister of the bride. Their dresses were fashioned with yellow chiffon bodice, high rise waistlines outlined with moss green ribbon with yellow and green floral skirts of organza. Their flowers were daisies.The flower girl, Miss Mindy Rock, wore a yellow chiffon dress.Terry Stargel of Chattanooga, Tenn., served as best man and ushers were James M. Williams of Ronceverte and Jack A. Williams of Huntington, brothers of the bridegroom, and Don Feamster and James William Haven, brother of the bride, both of Lewisburg.The bride’s mother was dressed in yellow and the bridegroom’s mother in pastel green. Their corsages were white carnations.A reception was held In Fellowship Hall where bouquets‘ spring flowers were used on the reception table. The fourtiered wedding cake -was decorated with royal lace and yellow roses.Aides were Mrs. James M. Williams and Mrs. Jack A.Williams, sisters-in-law of the bridegroom, Mrs. George A. Patterson, Mrs. Wilson Hanner, Mrs. Joseph Roller, Mrs. Newton Campbell, Mrs. Nelson Munsey and Mrs. Edward Rock.The bride was graduated from Greenbrier East High School in 1970 and attended Marshall University. The bridegroom was graduated from Lewisburg High School in 1967 and attended Marshall University after a tour of duty in Vietnam.The couple will live in Richmond, Va., where he is employed and where both plan to attend Virginia Commonwealth University.Out-of-town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Frank J. Molique, grandparents of the bride, from East St. Louis, 111., and Mrs. H. W. Ballard, grandmother of the bridegroom, and Mr. and Mrs. John E. Hemp and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Watson, uncles and aunts of the bridegroom, of Huntington.
