A wedding of interest to many here was solemnized Saturday i afternoon March 23, at a candle* light service at the New England Congregational church in Aurora when Miss Sue Simons, talented daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer W. Simons of 847 Downer place,Aurora, became the bride of• *John Henry Kehe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry J. Kehe of Deo Plaipes. ' The Rev. G. Paul Stowell performed the ceremony: in a beautiful setting of white stock and tulips. The bride’s mother is the former May Hopkins of Sycamore sister of thelate Mrs.-Louis Lloyd.# . ' * •/The bride, escorted to the altar by her father wore a gown of white net with a train and finger tip veil of net. Her botiquet was of gardenias. She was attended by her sister Mrs. Russell Hanson who served as matron of honor and byr the groom’s sister, Mrs. William Anderson, acting as bridesmaid. Their dresses were of marquisette ih salmon pink shade and their bouquets were of mixed spring flowers. Little Sandra Lee Hanson, the bride’s niece was junior bridesmaid. She wore a floor lengthtaffeta frock in salmon pinkshade and carried a miniature bouquet of spring flowers. The bride’s mother was attired in a floor length purple gown and the groom’s mother wore a formal grey gown.. Their corsages were of American Beauty roses.A colorful reception followed the nunptial rites at the Woman's club during which time musicwas provided by a trio composed of a pianist, cellist and' violinist.The bride is a graduate of West Aurora High School and attended Knox College where she is a member of Pi Beta Phi ^or-1 ority. She established herself as an artist after attending the Chicago Academy of Fine Arats.! She has maintained her own studio in Chicago and after May 1, when she and Mr. Kehe will be at home at 1412 Willow Springs. Des Plaines, following a trip to New Orleans, La., she will have her studio'there. The bridegroom recently discharged from serving with the armed forces in Europe is a graduate of Knox where he is a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity.Attending the wedding rites from Sycamore, were Lewis Lloyd and son, Sergius, Mr. Lloyd’s daughter, Mrs. George Milles and her eldest daughter, Peggy of Oak Park were also resent.
