MEADOWBROOK,—It was re ported at the special meeting of the board of the Meadowbrook Public Water District Saturday afternoon in Meadowbrook Grade School that the first of the new meters have been installed. By noon Saturday, 12 residents had their meters set on and it was estimated that all meters probably will be installed by the end of the month. To facilitate installation, the board asked all residents who conducted here for some time. The Ford agency was estab lished here bout 1914 by Clar ence (Pete) Heiderscheid, have signed up for water here to hook their lines to the meter yokes so that meters can be in stalled. No meters will be put in if residents do not hook on first, the board said. Meters will not be read for the first month, it was reported, and consumers will be billed the min imum monthly payment, $3. In the second month, meters will be read and if water, totaling more than $6--a two month minimum charge—has been consumed, the user will be billed accordingly.
